What are five keys to innovation? Build on mission. Do what ONLY you can do and do it better than anyone else. Engage the smartest people you know and be willing to learn from them. Take a stance and put resources behind it. You can't be all things to all people.

What are the keys to collaboration across traditional boundaries? You have to know your own mission/vision/goals extremely well and recognize what lessons from other fields are most relevant to your work. It is easy to be seduced by new ideas. Strategic collaborations are key! Be open-minded, but know yourself.

What talents or resources do you bring to this community? Energy, passion, and commitment to ongoing learning.

Dream partnerships: Which people, organizations, or industry sectors would you or your organization most want to partner with? I envision a defined formal partnership with all institutions of higher learning in Rhode Island. And hand in hand with that, deep ties to "community" - which organizations that will mean will vary by community...
